Biography
Ms. Snow joins us from Holy Family Classical School in Oklahoma, where she aided in its transition to a classical curriculum. She holds a Bachelor of Music Education and is certified in general and instrumental music K-12 in Oklahoma, as well as general, instrumental, and vocal music K-12 in Tennessee. She also has a Certificate of Hours from ICLE.
Ms. Snow is a mother of five and grandmother to one. Her family moved to Knoxville from Tulsa, Oklahoma, in September 2023. Her eldest son, Justin, was a talented percussionist in high school, marched two seasons in DCI with the Crossmen, and joined the Marine Corps. He later earned a degree in criminal justice, joined the Bixby police force, served on the SWAT team, and transferred his military service to the Army National Guard. After a rigorous 8-month academy, he became an officer in the Tulsa Police Department. Justin lives near Tulsa with his wife and son. Will, a sophomore at Chesterton, plays piano, trombone, euphonium, and tuba, and enjoys astronomy, Latin, and calligraphy. Last year, he also learned golf, rock climbing, and rugby. Jacob, a freshman at Chesterton, is an artist who creates comics, loves animals, and plays trumpet and euphonium. Nicholas, a 7th grader, plays trombone and piano, and enjoys history and reading. Elizabeth, the youngest, will be in 4th grade and loves drawing and writing letters.
In addition to teaching, Ms. Snow enjoys playing the French horn and singing. She arranges music and composes original works, including a recent piece, an “Ave Maria,” which will be performed at St. John Neumann this fall. Her interests also include traveling, hiking, roller coasters, and carpentry.
