Occupational Experience:
My previous work experience has included working for Great North American Realty as a property prep and manager’s assistant (2014-2018), Golden 1 Credit Union as a teller (2018-2019), and Rippetoe Studios as a photographer’s assistant (2017-2019). I became a full-time homemaker after having my son in February of 2019 to pursue being a stay at home mother. Recently, I have returned to my interest in photography after launching a part time business as a lifestyle photographer.
Message to parents:
William Ross Wallace wrote, “The hand that rocks the cradle is the hand that rules the world.” These are powerful words that should strike a sense of profound responsibility into the heart of every parent and guardian. As stewards of the souls God has entrusted into our care, we have a duty to train our children in the best means available to us. The classical method we offer here at Chesterton Academy has stood the test of time and remains one of the best means of education. Beyond that, the true heart of our school is “In the Catholic Tradition.”
Each student that walks through our doors is recognized beyond their educational prowess. The board, faculty, and staff are dedicated to a common goal of helping these precious souls reach heaven. Though they have passed their days in cradles, the influence we have on them is still strong, especially during these important years before they are launched into the world. Through the seven liberal arts, catechesis, and regular exposure and participation in the sacraments, we are training our students to be crusaders of their faith. Forged in this way, they have every chance to change this city, our country, and the world.
Extracurricular Activities:
My husband and I currently have three beautiful children and God willing, more on the way. I am first and foremost living out my vocation as a wife and mother. Most of my time is spent in the stewardship of my family and home. Beyond this, I partake in the robust life of the Catholic community here in Knoxville. I’m a parishioner at Holy Ghost and have recently become a mentor in Fidelis. I also take great joy in hosting and our home is often bursting at the seams with family and friends alike.
